When it comes to cultivating spiritual formation experiences, I sometimes have no idea where to start. But my husband and I wanted to help others (including our kids!) experience the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection leading up to Easter.
We have read the Jesus Story Book Bible, gone through the Resurrection Eggs with the kids (both great tools). But we wanted to add an experience that would tie in the Jewish roots of our faith and the significance of the Passover into our Easter celebration.
So, I took creative influence from the Passover Seder and Jesus’ last supper—and wrote a Good Friday Seder Guide. We had a blast as we entered the story of the Exodus with our senses and how Jesus is our Passover Lamb. Even our two-year-old paid attention.
I hope your free copyof my Good Friday Seder Guide blesses you.
This experience is great for all ages. If you don’t have kids—gather some friends! I hope it becomes a meaningful tradition for you as it has become for us.
P.S. What is an Easter tradition that you love that keeps your focus on Jesus? Please share with us!
